the amber lamps sessions
The Amber Lamps sessions came about after the breakups of three Outer Banks, NC bands - The Delimiters,This Too Shall Burn and Atrium Mantra. Members from each band got together to just jam and let stuff flow out. We were able to record multiple sessions on multi track but with everyone in the same room. It was a new way for me to compose and work on music because we could now immediately listen back to the songs and fix the levels of each instrument. I learned a lot in about four sessions with these guys and we ended up with hours of improvised music, made up right there while we jammed. We had a few songs we ironed out and rehearsed but mostly we just spaced out and jammed. Featuring Dave Tomato on bass, Mike Parthemore & Joe Fran on guitars and vocals and Akile Gaut on drums. No gigs ever came out of this adventure but we got some killer tracks!
